Hello!
Some of you already know me but for those who don’t, my name is Sarah Leah Cobham and I’m delighted to let you know that I’ll be joining the Unitarian team from December as the Heritage & Community Officer part time.
This is a wonderful opportunity for me and I’ll be bringing my passion for the chapel’s history and its people, my skill sets with regards community and creativity and my heritage connections from across the Wakefield district to help revive and sustain the chapel as both a place of creativity and spirituality.
I first became involved in the chapel about 12 years ago when I was bringing Georgian (Republic of Georgia) folk and secular song to the UK and then more recently with our Clara Clarkson project. The values of Unitarianism chime with those of Dream Time Creative in that above all, we believe in an egalitarian, creative and inclusive approach to everything we do so when this opportunity came up, I jumped at it.
I’ll be taking some services as well so those that do know me… you’ll know they will be barn storming, and those that don’t…. well, do come along to find out what we are all about.
In the mean time I’ll be working with many others to get our beautiful chapel full of people all days of the week, not just Sundays.
Take care of yourselves, and others.
Sarah.
