On Saturday 22nd June 2019 the Yorkshire Unitarian Union (YUU) held their Summer Gathering.
The day started with around 30 people meeting up at the Pepper Hill chapel.
A round of tea was served and the Celia and John Midgley welcomed everyone to the day and the theme of Summer.
John the facilitated the rest of the morning as there was a whole host of people reciting their poems, reading prose and singing songs accompanied by Jim Timiney and David Dawson.
Then everyone went for a trip round the grounds at Shibden Hall, home of Ann Lister and going through a new lease of life following the BBC1 drama Gentleman Jack being filmed there.
The day was rounded up by John Midgley when everyone met back at Pepper Hill for the epilogue and another cup of tea before the journey home.
