A request from our friends at Chesterfield, Can you help?

CHAPEL LIBRARY

We (Elder Yard, Chesterfield) have agreed that we lack a library of any kind and want to rectify this. It will coincide with establishing a book club, reading group and possibly even a writing club. We have a large number of books already donated on a range of religious and spirituality related topics. However they are dominantly Anglican and Bhuddist in their starting point.

We are looking for donations of books and magazines that are avowedly Unitarian in their outlook and authorship. Beyond those of us who have a personal collection – the chapel lacks any.

So here’s the offer: EVERY DONATED UNITARIAN BOOK WILL RESULT IN A 50p DONATION BY US TO SEND A CHILD TO HUCKLOW.

Let me repeat the offer: every donated Unitarian book from our friends and fellow Chapels will result in a 50p donation to our Send a Chîld to Hucklow commitment – this will be over and above the commitment and fundraising ambitions we are already setting ourselves.

Within reason we can collect easily from within our District – Sheffield Upper Chapel, Doncaster, Underbank, Fulwood and Belper, Derby and Mansfield are within easy reach of us.

But also we can collect from the Nightingale Centre and Great Hucklow itself.

So if you are willing, have spares, books you no longer use – please do get in touch and we ELDER YARD, CHESTERFIELD, will put them to good use and SEND A CHILD TO HUCKLOW will be the immediate beneficiary.
