The Hymn Society in the United States and Canada is seeking hymns and songs for Songs for the Holy Other, a new collection for those seeking to embrace queerness through congregational song.

By bringing together pieces that address queer experiences, Songs for the Holy Other will help communities celebrate the diversity already present in their spaces and work towards full welcome of people of all gender identities and sexual orientations.

To that end, they seek submissions that:

speak of experiences common in the queer community, such as inclusion, acceptance, subversion and rejection;

directly address issues of gender identity and/or sexuality
and/or;
encourage a queer understanding of scripture and theology.

Deadline for submissions: April 15th
