York Unitarians Lunchtime Concert – 22 April 2022

York Unitarians Friday concerts feature Purcell and Schumann on Friday 22nd April at 12.30 p.m.

Hamish Brown, tenor, trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He has sung with York Opera since 2008. He combines his teaching career (Maths) with an extensive range of oratorio and operatic appearances. He has always loved the Lieder repertoire and is delighted to be performing Schumann’s Op 39 Liederkreis along with 3 Purcell songs. Alasdair Jamieson is well known in York as a conductor (Micklegate Singers, YSO, and York Opera) but he is also an accomplished pianist. He will accompany his fellow Scot on the excellent Yamaha piano at York Unitarian Chapel.

Tickets available on the door £6 (cash); proceeds are shared 2/3 with the artist(s) and 1/3 with the chapel
