Hucklow Carol Service – 13 Dec 2024
Please join us for Carols from Hucklow
This is a very special Carol Concert by the Ministry Students of Unitarian College, hosted by The Old Chapel at Great Hucklow.
For the first time ever this very special event will be recorded and broadcast live on zoom, so you can be a part of it from the warmth and comfort of your own home.
The live zoom meeting will open at 7.15pm with you being welcomed by the Chapel and the service itself will start promptly at 7.30pm. We have recruited James as our Zoom Maestro and he will be with you in the balcony of The Old Chapel making sure you are seeing and hearing all the singing, the readings and being a part of the joy.
There will be a collection for the service (this will be split between Great Hucklow Unitarian Chapel and Unitarian College). Please be as generous as you can – Unitarian College trains and supports our very future as a movement and Hucklow has a special place in all of our hearts, built up over decades. I know I speak for everyone involved when I say, thank you for whatever you can give.
The Order of Service will be available for you to download and read on the Facebook page of Great Hucklow Unitarian Chapel and a link to the document will be placed in the chat room so you can sing along heartily, lustily and joyously. Your audio button will be muted during the service, so the only audio we will share with you will be from within the Chapel.

If you can come to the Chapel itself you will be made very welcome.
At the Chapel there will be mulled wine and mince pies afterwards – and we would suggest you have a glass and a minced pie ready at home. After the service we won’t close the chat immediately – but rather we will invite some of the staff and students of the College to join you in zoom and hear your feedback and to raise a toast to you and your friends, family and neighbours at Christmas.
We can’t wait to see you all.
With all best wishes for the season, and with considerable excitement that we can share this special service with you.
