Fuse 2022

We have taken the difficult decision to hold our Festival of Unitarians in the South East in February 2022, online.
We needed to make a decision early partly because of the amount of forward planning involved – and because booking accommodation at commercial venues inevitably involves financial risk. The future seemed too uncertain to be sure of safely holding such a large gathering indoors over a long weekend.

However, we were cheered by how successful the slimmed-down online FUSE 2021 had been, and we will be aiming for a similar format – so over two days, on Saturday 19th + Sunday 20th February 2022, with breaks between sessions.

The Pilgrimage of Life
We are delighted to announce we have once again attracted a theme speaker with an international reputation – Alistair McIntosh. Described by the BBC as ‘one of the world’s leading environmental campaigners’, Dr McIntosh is Scottish ecologist and land reform activist and a renowned spiritual writer and retreat leader. A Quaker by faith, Alastair’s theme will be: ‘The Pilgrimage of Life’. You may remember his keynote address at the GA’s ‘Being Together’ webinars in April 2020, on the subject: ‘The Revolution will be Spiritual’.

Meanwhile we are planning workshops on new themes, with high-quality speakers including one or two surprises! So be sure to secure your place at FUSE 2022 when the booking opens in the autumn.
