Heart of the City – Unitarian Connections

You can feel profoundly lonely in a crowded city.

Being surrounded by people doesn’t mean you’re surrounded by *your* people. In cities, loneliness can actually increase in overcrowded spaces, especially when you’re searching for genuine connection with people who share your values.

Heart of the City is a new connections group for people in urban areas who want to be part of something real.

We meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 3:15pm to gather with people who get it. It’s a space to share ideas and resources, workshop projects, and support one another as we carry out Unitarian and Free Christian work in the unique, inspiring, and sometimes challenging, context of the inner city.

Each session begins and ends with short words of reflection, with the rest of the time devoted to sharing and conversation. All are welcome: ministers, lay leaders, administrators, trustees, and anyone involved in congregational life, especially those in leadership or support roles.

First session: Tuesday 4 November at 3:15pm
