DESCRIPTION:\nNEW TRAINING ALERT!\n\n\n\nNobody becomes a Unitarian trustee because they love charity law.\n\n\n\nOur brilliant volunteers step into governance because their congregation matters to them and someone needed to step up. Congregations tell us time after time that their trustees arrive in the role with the best of intentions, but have a slightly uncertain grasp of what the Charity Commission actually expects of them.\n\n\n\nWe’re going to help with that.\n\n\n\nThe Essential Trustee is a full-day online workshop from the General Assembly, working through the Commission’s trustee guidance in plain language, with time built in for questions and proper discussion.\n\n\n\nWe’ll cover legal duties, conflicts of interest, financial responsibilities, what happens if things go wrong.\n\n\nThis one-day course will help trustees get on with running a healthy, vibrant congregation.\n\n\n\nWe have two dates, and you can register for whichever works.
