Margaret Ashton – pioneering campaigner for women’s rights and peace, the first woman elected to Manchester City Council, considered ‘Manchester’s greatest woman citizen’.
The keynote speaker for this year’s Unitarian Annual Meetings will be Indra Adnan – a writer, psycho-social therapist and political entrepreneur.
Indra is the author of ‘The Politics of Waking Up: Power and Possibility in the Fractal Age’, named by the Times Literary Supplement as one of 2021’s books of the year. She is the Co-initiator of The Alternative UK political platform and is a global consultant on soft power.
Indra will be talking to us about her experience of working with communities to help them unleash their power, and why the work of inner transformation is essential in the work to tackle the crises of our times.
